The more than 1,200 quotations are arranged under broad categories such as autobiography and biography, books, journalism, poets and poetry, words, writers, and language. Each entry gives the author, source and date. Sources include essays, journals, diaries, letters, interviews, and, in a few instances, fictional works.

 

About the Author

Thomas H. Brennan is a retired professor of computer science from St. Thomas Aquinas College in Sparkill, New York. He presently reviews independently published books for the Foreword Reviews magazine.
